Ever thought about taking up the ukulele? It’s a fun instrument, and really easy to learn. WWu3a run a small ukulele group every Monday between 2 and 4pm (except Bank Holidays).
We’re a friendly group, with a mixture of playing levels – some have been playing the uke for maybe a year, whereas one or two of our members have been musicians for over 50 years – what’s important is that we all spend a couple of hours playing, and sharing ideas – we cover songs by Johnny Cash, Cliff Richard, The Pogues, and many others.
Even if you don’t already own an instrument, you’re always welcome to come along for a listen at one of our sessions – we can tell you about the different instruments we use, and advise on what might be the best choice for you – there are no strings attached (well, there are, we suppose!).
To avoid disappointment please do not attend any events, group meetings or monthly meetings as a visitor unless you have, in advance, contacted the event organiser / group leader or Membership Secretary (for monthly meetings), Thank you.
