The group consists of some twenty amateur artists who meet every Friday from 9.30 -12.30. It is both an art group and social group in that at the end of our summer and winter terms we normally enjoy a garden party or a lunch

We’re a friendly bunch with varying skills covering the full spectrum of painting and drawing, using acrylics, oils, watercolours, pastels, pencils and ink. We draw up a calendar of monthly themes if people want to take part, using this as an opportunity to share any particular skill or interest we have.

We also do joint projects, past ones include murals (currently on display in the Hall) or “blind” puzzles where a (hidden) picture is cut is several pieces, each piece is copied in a larger scale in a set medium, then all finished pieces brought together at the end and compared to the original
