The Cribbage group is going from strength to strength and because of its popularity we have planned to run weekly throughout the summer.
We meet every Monday from 1.30 with the official start time at 2pm in The Albany Palace Wetherspoons in Park Road, no fees payable as the crib boards and cards have been financed by long term members.
Wetherspoons under the guidance of our senior player label and reserve 5 tables for us every week.
Play starts at 2pm for final games around 4pm, enabling us to have two hours of play with players mixing after games to share their expertise.
Full training given to novice members.
Play is with the universal triple boards to make play easier, rather than using the old style board. These boards can be used for pairs, triples or double matches.
Some of the players stay on to eat at the pub who are very hospitable reserving tables for us near the fireplace.
To add a bit more interest we introduced a league table for the autumn session from September until Christmas.
The spring league table has just started and will run until Easter.
Come along and give it and us a try.
