Button work on Frame

We are a friendly group of like minded people willing to learn from each other who meet every first Tuesday at 2:00pm.

We try different crafts and this year have tried painting on silk, flower arranging, quilling, card making, wire sculpting and dry felt making.

One project was to make a wall hanging for the Jubilee, this now hangs in the hall at the Tin Church, and inthe past  supported various charities and continue to do so.

We like to challenge ourselves with different craft projects and a recent project was a Button piece stitched within the frame.

Over the last few months we have tried several new crafts and continue to broaden our skills.

The picture shows Wool collages which we first saw when shown a photo of one of our members granddaughter’s project for college, so we decided to have a go ourselves, we felt that we had completed them very successfully.

quilling

This photo is Quilling, an art form which involves strips of paper which are rolled, shaped and glued together to make decorative designs. We enjoyed this so much that we had two consecutive months of Quilling, it is rather addictive!

A friendly and encouraging group .
