Highclere Castle near Newbury is the family home of Lord and Lady Carnarvon, whose ancestor the 5th Earl, an Egyptologist, was present at the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922. There is an Egyptology exhibition that you can see by paying extra on the day. Highclere is the setting for the popular series Downton Abbey.

Booking opens at 9am on Monday 8th June. This is early as tickets must be paid for 4 weeks before the trip.
