Cost: £17.50 - £35.80 depending on options

We last visited Tredegar House in 2015. For our return visit on Monday 17th August we will go to Caerleon first, it is the National Roman Legion Museum and the site of a Roman Fortress- Isca. You can see remains of the barracks and amphitheatre. The Fortress baths have been recovered and are in a covered building. There is also a museum, shop and toilets.

We will spend around 2 hours on the site and then move onto Tredegar House which is a National Trust property. Tredegar House and the Morgan family have been an important part of South-east Wales for more than 500 years. Grand stables and an orangery sit alongside the red-brick Restoration mansion house and the varied, formal gardens. The parkland is a haven for visitors and wildlife alike, with sweeping lawns, majestic sequoia, redwoods, a historic oak avenue and ornamental lake. There is a café.

Entry to Caerleon is free, however, to visit the Baths there is a £5.00 charge payable on the day.

The cost for this trip includes coach and driver’s tip - £17.50. Entry to Tredegar House is free for National Trust members is free. Non-NT entry is £13.30

Interested: Booking will open on Monday 20th July at 9.00am (and not before)
