The Milestone Museum in Basingstoke opened in 2000. Here you can revisit your early life with many exhibits as life as it was in the post war years up to 1960.

Explore the high street from before the age of chain stores, where the milliner, saddler and ironmonger reveal the everyday shopping habits of the past. Step back in time and discover how people once lived, worked and shopped in Hampshire as you wander through a maze of immersive historic streets lined with traditional shops, factories and homes, many inspired by real local buildings.

Visit the Milestone Pier and Vintage Arcade. Buy sweets in Abraham’s Sweet Shop.

See the display of Vintage vehicles and the Teddy Bears in Mr Simpsons Teddy Bear Museum. See the link for more information.

There is a Rooftops restaurant, Baverstocks Pub – serves snacks and a Vintage Tea Tent. Also, a Vintage Tea Tent. Food and drink may only be consumed in designated areas.
