It is proposed that we visit Salisbury for the day.
Booking opens at 9.00am on Tuesday 15th.July and NOT before.
You can enjoy an ‘Explore at Leisure’ visit to Arundells, the former home of Sir Edward Heath. The house with its Queen Anne facade began life as a Medieval Canonry. It contains his personal art collection including painting by Sir Winston Churchill L.S.Lowry and many other well-known artists.
Plus, curios from around the world together with his Steinway piano, which pianists are welcome to play, and music memorabilia.
The peaceful gardens with lawns, mature trees and borders has spectacular views of the spire of Salisbury Cathedral, and the confluence of the River Avon and the Nadder River.
You will be able to go into the house at any time. Just give your name at the desk and pay £8.00 per person.
It is situated close to the Cathedral and between the Salisbury Museum and the Rifles Museum.
You will have time to have a leisurely lunch or just visit the city and even shop.
We will leave Trowbridge about 9.30am and leave Salisbury at 3.30/4pm.
The cost for this trip is coach & drivers tip, £15.00 per person.
Entry to Arundells - £8.00 is payable on the day.
