Day Trip to Bridport & Mapperton House. Wednesday 14th. May
Our first destination is to Bridport. It is historically known for its rope making, hence its wide streets. It is also called the Gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Wednesday is market day where you can enjoy good food etc and maybe lunch before we travel to our second destination Mapperton House.
Here we will enjoy a guided tour of the house, Gilded Age American Heiress exhibition (with tea/coffee on arrival) and free time to roam in the award winning gardens.
Light meals with tea and cake are available in the Coach House.
At the moment in Bridport there are many colourfully decorated Elephants as part of the Stampede by the Sea. It is in aid of Weldmar Hospicecare.
The cost of this trip is £35.00 to included coach, driver's tip & entry to Mapperton House - tours of the house.
