In June our trip to the Isle of Wight did not go entirely to plan!

We set off early but hadn't gone far before it became obvious that something was wrong with the coach. We limped to the Services at Warminster and Chandlers sent us another coach.

This delayed us so we missed our ferry and caught the next an hour later. This restricted our time on the island.

Some of us were dropped off at Osborne House , and the rest of us went on to Shanklin for a lunch stop. Following that we had a trip along the coast on the Garrison Road to the far west of the island before turning east back to Cowes, not forgetting to pick up those from Osborne House.

We all enjoyed the ferry ride along Southampton Water.
