On a beautiful day we travelled to Salisbury. We were dropped off close to the Cathedral.

Most people then made their way to Arundells. the former home of Sir Edward Heath.  The house with its Queen Anne facade began life as a Medieval Canonry.  

It contains his personal art collection including painting by Sir Winston Churchill L.S.Lowry and many other well-known artists. 

Also, curios from around the world together with his Steinway piano, which pianists are welcome to play, and music memorabilia. An interesting house with beautiful gardens.

After the visit, we proceeded into Salisbury for a late lunch and some retail therapy.
