Our cribbage group has gone from strength to strength since leaving the Tesco Hub and relocating to The Albany Palace the Wetherspoons pub in Park Road. We now have 20 listed members with a weekly attendance of around 12 to 16, we start play at 2pm every Monday and with partners changing throughout the afternoon to give everyone a chance of playing with the novices and experienced members.
Some of the players stay on to eat at the pub who are being very hospitable reserving tables for us near the fireplace.
To add a bit more interest we introduced a league table for the autumn session from September until Christmas with an eventual winner being Peter Carr, who has been in the club since early days, the handsome trophy was presented to him by Mike Prior the group coordinator at our playing session on January 6th.
The spring league table has just started and will run until Easter. Pictures show Mike and Peter and a close up of the trophy.
