Bookworms
This house group
meets every fourth Tuesday at 2.00 pm in Trowbridge.
Our way of working
is to select a series of novels (usually six) with a
connecting theme. Each month one of these books is
presented by a group member, followed by a general
discussion.
At the moment we have chosen novels whose
action is set in the West Country starting with Hardy’s ‘The
Mayor of Casterbridge’ and concluding with ‘The Summer of
the Royal Visit’ by Isabel Colegate.
Several new members have requested to join this group. The
present group is fully subscribed however there are
potentially sufficient new members to form a second group.
